Chanticleer Homes for Sale in Greenville, SC

Chanticleer is a gated community off the Augusta Road corridor in Greenville, laid out along Chanticleer Drive, Michaux Drive, East and West Seven Oaks Drive, Club Forest Lane, Holbrook Trail, Abbot Trail, Porcher Circle and DeBraham Court. It has private roads, a security guard and street lights, and it has been one of the city's established addresses since the 1960s.

The houses

Because it filled in over decades, the housing stock is genuinely varied — 1960s ranches, 1970s traditionals and 1990s colonials sit on the same streets, with crawl space and full basement foundations both common, some with walk-out access where the ground falls away. Garages run from two to five bays. Lots are half an acre and up, wooded, many on corners or cul-de-sacs, with full-yard irrigation widespread.

Schools and getting around

Augusta Circle Elementary, Hughes Academy and Greenville High School serve this area, all Greenville County Schools. Downtown, Falls Park and the Greenville Country Club are all short drives, and the Augusta Road shops and restaurants are the everyday errand run.

It suits buyers who want privacy, mature landscaping and a gate, inside the city limits rather than out in a newer development. Those looking further up the market should also see luxury homes across Greenville.
